You’ll bring your excellent relationship building skills to liaise with your customers and experienced project managers to lead teams to solve real, technical problems. Your organisational skills will come in handy when working to different project timescales which range from a couple of months to a few years to meet the needs of the government in the UK and around the world.

This is a full-time role, but part-time working will be considered (minimum 3 days a week).


More About You

You will already have:

  • An understanding of the techniques and best practices of project management. You may have experience running projects, perhaps related to an event in your personal life, that you will be able to use to demonstrate your understanding of project principles.
  • Evidence of creating co-operative working relationships with colleagues and customers working together in a team environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

 

The following are desirable and would strengthen your application:

  • Project Management Qualifications such as PRINCE2 or APM
  • Experience of working in a project support role
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks/methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Project or similar project management tools

Putting your skills to use

Using your diverse range of skills within the Project Management team, you will:

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting activities
  • Manage risks and assurance plans
  • Understand the needs of stakeholders
  • Review progress and identify areas of concerns
  • Provide the leadership to keep the project on course to meet its objectives
