This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week or part-time with a minimum coverage of 30 hours.

At HMGCC, engineers rely on their IT to create tools and technologies to protect national security.
The Chief Technology Officer’s (CTO) team are changing how they deliver IT, shifting the focus to prioritise user experience. This is a new role where you’ll join the team at the start of this journey and play a pivotal role in shaping the engagement with internal users and enhancing their IT experience.
You’ll explore the users’ experience and how this affects their work, and how improving that experience will mean the nation is better protected.
As the Relationship Manager, you will work closely with engineers to understand how IT supports their work, and be the primary liaison between them, the CTO team and IT delivery teams. Your mission is to ensure users receive an outstanding experience, communicating and engaging with them effectively, and ensuring their needs drive your plans and strategy.

More About You
To apply for this role, you will already have:
- Experience in relationship management or a similar role.
- The ability to build successful relationships with stakeholders, partners and colleagues.
- Experience of improving user experience.
- Proven problem-solving experience.

- Familiarity with IT services, systems, or support processes.
- Familiarity with engineering or another technical discipline.

Putting your skills to use
Using your diverse range of skills within the Chief Technology Officer’s team, you will:
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and users across the organisation.
- Act as the voice of the user within the CTO team, advocating for their needs and identifying areas for improvement.
- Design and implement new processes and strategies to enhance the customer experience.
- Gather feedback and insights from users to drive continuous improvement of IT services.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure solutions align with user expectations and business goals.
- Educate and empower users to get the most from the tools and services provided by IT.
- Report on customer satisfaction metrics and highlighting areas of success and opportunity.
