This is a full-time position for 37 hours per week Monday to Friday,
Part-time (minimum of 30 hours) or flexible working applications welcome.
There is potential to work from home on an ad hoc basis in line with business requirements

As an Enterprise Architect at HMGCC, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping and defining the organisation’s strategic direction, future technology and business roadmaps.  

You’ll use your skills and experience to create holistic views across the organisation, ensuring cohesion between business and technology strategy, producing an integrated set of strategies, policies and architectures which support the business in achieving its goals.

An enthusiasm to engage and maintain relationships across a range of stakeholders is essential as a key part of the role will be knowledge sharing, collaborating, and driving coherence.

You’ll work with stakeholders, customers, partners, and technical experts to gather and analyse a range of inputs and information in order to develop capability roadmaps which frame the overall enterprise design, ensuring proper orchestration of delivery and service provision.

You’ll be joining a team which is made up of people with a range of backgrounds and experiences, who all bring unique contributions to the challenge of taking a technology organisation into the future, meeting the demands of disruptive technologies, against a changing geopolitical landscape.  

Your role will be instrumental in the orchestration, production, communications, and implementation of strategic change across not just technology, but also business operations, ways of working, culture, facilities, and partnerships.

More About You

You will already have:

•    Experience developing strategic roadmaps
•    Experience in leading design and integration of complex business problems
•    Experience owning and designing parts of a portfolio of work that is complex and integrated

To strengthen your application, it would be beneficial if you have one or more of the following (but these are not essential):

•    Knowledge and experience of using enterprise modelling tools
•    Understanding of project and programme methodologies along with architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
•    Practical experience of technology development
•    Appreciation of infrastructure, applications, data architectures and design patterns

Putting your skills to use

Using your diverse range of skills within the Enterprise Architecture team you will:

•    Define and elaborate strategic target states
•    Conduct business problem elaboration
•    Produce business roadmaps
•    Ensure cohesion of roadmaps and improvement plans across the business
•    Run workshops and presentations to business leads, executive board members, delivery teams, stakeholders, partners
•    Influence portfolio or project scope to achieve strategic outcomes
•    Identify strategic opportunities of capture technical debt to feed into future years plans
