HMGCC has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Goods in Team Member to join our growing team. Our busy Goods in team is central to the running of the facilities function at HMGCC and you
will be dealing with a diverse range of goods and products. Excellent customer service skills are required as you will be dealing with staff at all levels within the organisation, who will be seeking guidance and assistance from this central support function.

As directed, you will provide support for the corporate logistics team, enabling HMGCC and its customers to make effective use of central services more efficiently. You will be adept to working to deadlines in order to meet business requirements.


Technical Skills

We would need you to already have:

• Familiarisation with a computerised stock control system
• Proficient IT skills, including Word and Excel
• Good communication skills and be a good team player
• Manual handling experience
• Driving Licence (max 3 points)

To strengthen your application, it would be desirable if you have or be willing to obtain:

• Forklift Licence
• Reach Truck Licence
• Warehousing experience
• Inventory Management Experience

Putting Your Skills To Use

Using your expertise as part of our team you will:

• Manage the receiving, despatch, storing and distribution of deliveries to and from Goods In
• Electronically book in goods onto the system
• Report shortages to the supplier and recipient
• Resolve shortages and replacement goods
• Raise credit note
• Return goods for credit and replacement
• Forge good working relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers
• Deliver items to the end user
• Despatch goods and equipment worldwide
• Update and maintain information to enable accurate record keeping
• Be responsible for Health and Safety within the Goods In environment
• Respond to formal Service Desk requests

You will play an integral part in ensuring that our Government's communication systems in the UK and around the globe are reliable and totally secure.
