You’ll use your extensive knowledge and experience of facilities and maintenance management to support the expanding estate, ensuring the buildings across site are maintained and legally compliant. You will work across our diverse and interesting estate with many technical facilities, including manufacturing workshops, engineering laboratories and offices.

Most days will be different, you’ll use your strong communication skills to interact with a wide range of users and suppliers as you oversee the Planned Preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair programmes, delivered by our FM supplier. Your planning and delivery abilities will be crucial to the successful delivery of these programmes.

You will join a small supportive team where professional development and training is available and encouraged for both technical and core skills. These courses include externally recognised courses as well as sessions hosted in house.


More About You

You’ll already have:

•    A proven background and professional qualification in Building Services or relevant experience.
•    Experience of managing Facilities Management contracts.
•    In depth knowledge of legal and statutory compliance obligations

To strengthen your application, it would be beneficial if you have one or more of the following (but these are not essential):

•    Good written and verbal communication skills.
•    Experience in using CAD (preferably AutoCAD).
•    Experience of planning and managing multiple projects/works packages simultaneously
•    Experience of championing Environmental and Sustainability initiatives.
•    Experience of working with ISO standards such as ISO 50001, ISO 14001 etc.

Putting your skills to use

Using your diverse range of skills within the Estates team, you will:

•    Work collectively within our PPM provider to ensure the site is safe and legally compliant.
•    Respond to system and infrastructure failures to minimise the impact on site.
•    Interrogate the Building Management System to identify faults or develop enhancements.
•    Respond to user requests for repair, maintenance and infrastructure enhancements.
•    Share in the on-call rota, typically for up to a week each month.
