HMGCC has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join our Service  Operations Centre (SOC)  team.

The SOC Business Support role is a wide and varied role, providing administrative support to the entire department. This role will work closely with the Head of the SOC, supporting her in areas such as diary and calendar management, minute taking at a variety of boards and meetings and the planning and organising of department events. As such it will require an element of travel to key sites, primarily in London.

Technical Skills

We would need you to already have:

•    Previous experience of dealing with Customers/Stakeholders  (internal or external)
•    Prior experience of writing business documents
•    High level of attention to detail
•    Ability to demonstrate  good organisational skills
•    Willingness to travel to key sites as required.

To strengthen your application it would be desirable if you have:

•    Previous experience of minute taking
•    Prior experience of managing multiple diaries/calendars
•    Knowledge of working in an ITIL  environment
•    Knowledge of working within a project environment

Putting Your Skills to Use

Using your expertise as part of our team you will:

•    Provide general administrative/technical  support such as arranging meetings; minute taking; diary management and photo copying
•    Responding to customer/stakeholder  requirements (face to face, in writing or on the phone) in an efficient and effective manner and seeking guidance where answers are not covered by laid down processes and procedure
•    Keeping, and maintaining appropriate accurate paper and electronic records as directed. This to include data inputting, filing and the generation of reports.
•    Follow laid down procedures adhering to time scales which enable required day to day activity to be completed
•    Contribute to the effective application and development of laid down procedures adhering to time scales which enable required day to day activity to be completed
•    To provide guidance in response to customer/stakeholder  requirements
•    To represent the department  at events, activities or meetings across or outside the organisation
