This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Flexible or compressed working patterns available.

You may already have experience working across various technology areas, including but not limited to, Software Test and development, Telecoms, Mobile platforms, Cyber Security, IT research, IT Delivery or bespoke communication systems. This could be the role for you.
As an implementation Specialist within the Cyber Application team, you will work across the whole product lifecycle within a multi-skilled, multi-disciplinary team, applying test best practice and championing quality through. You will have the opportunity to bring all of your knowledge and skills, enhancing the team efforts in supporting both delivery and innovation. You will identify relevant tests and implement test solutions for a wide range of products which are often bespoke, one of a kind, designed to protect national security.

More About You
To apply for this role, you will already have:
• A detailed understanding of Windows, Linux, Apple Mac and Android operating systems and experience in using internet applications, security software, communications software and PC diagnostic software.
• The ability to devise tests which will uncover unintentional system behaviour.
• Experience of technical report writing or a desire to learn the necessary skills.
• The ability to analyse results to identify root causes of issues found.
To strengthen your application, it would be beneficial if you also have:
• A degree, HND, HNC or Level 4 Apprenticeship in an IT or Engineering based subject or demonstrable similar experience.
• Experience of Software virtualisation technologies such as VMWARE and vSphere.
• An understanding of IT server and Network infrastructure including the use of domains and active directory structures.
• A full driving license and willingness to perform field trials around the UK, including London.
• Experience with mentoring.

Putting your skills to use
Using your diverse range of skills you will:
• Conduct & document objective and impartial evaluations on a wide range of post development products.
• Apply an agile testing model to contribute to the development cycle of products in early developments.
• Develop tests to define performance, functionality, security and limitations of products.
• Confirm the fitness for purpose of products.
• Perform vulnerability testing including degradation to network, generating scalable traffic on a network, blocking traffic from specific IP’s & identifying security defects.
• Support and mentor other evaluation engineers in producing timely test plans, test results and reports and in their learning and development.
