Apprenticeship Scheme - Register of Interest for Pre-application Event Ref. 719

Upcoming Jobs
Thank you for your interest in attending our pre-application event for our Apprenticeship scheme. This event is available to all those who register their interest and is designed to provide an insight in to both the role and what it’s like to work in our organisation.

The session will be online on Thursday 14th October and will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. We will send you a link in a separate message that will be held within the communications centre of your application portal, which you will be able to access once you have created an account.

Please note that as this is an insight event, it has no bearing on any future applications you make with our organisation.

We recruit for apprentices in the following areas:

• Software – Development & Testing
• Mechanical Manufacturing
• Production Engineering
• Electronics
• IT

You’ll split your time between a local college completing the academic knowledge and competency qualifications of the programme and on the job training. You’ll also receive paid-for membership with a professional organisation such as the British Computer Society or the IET.

You won’t be on tea duty while you’re here; our apprentices get involved in real projects from the beginning. Throughout the programme, you’ll undertake various mentored work placements and customer projects which will give you hands-on experience to back up the classroom training.

On completion of the scheme, you’ll have a solid foundation to begin your career.

Our Apprenticeship Schemes will be open for applications on Monday 18th October.

In the meantime, we encourage:

   - Candidates from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic background *
   - Women (of any background) *

To register their interest in our scheme.

*Please note that we are currently only accepting registrations of interest from the above groups, due to their under-representation in our existing workforce.

A registration of interest does not constitute a job application, nor will the registration of interest have any bearing upon the recruitment process itself.

Any individuals who register their interest and who decide to apply for the Apprenticeship Scheme will need to complete an application form once the window for applications has opened on 18th October.

Once our apprenticeship scheme is open for applications, we will welcome applications from all candidates, regardless of their ethnic background, gender, disability and/or any other characteristic(s).  All applications will be assessed solely on merit throughout the process.
