HMGCC has a unique and exciting opportunity for an IT Trainer to join our Service Operations Centre {SOC) team.
The IT Trainer role will provide specialist IT Training support for enterprise-scale, secure Government IT services, including records and content management, open source, search, retrieval and collaborative working. Key elements of the role include setting up an elearning capability, the design and creation of end-user training materials, supporting end and super users within our Partner base. There will also be opportunities to apply and develop your skills across the wider team including business analysis, requirement capture and relationship management.
Technical Skills
We would need you to already have:
- Demonstrable experience in an IT training role; ideally in a blended learning environment
- Experience of developing an elearning capability
- The ability to plan, design and deliver a range of training courses and guidance material.
- The ability to adapt training approach to the audience; to motivate users with varying abilities.
- An aptitude and interest in working on improving information sharing and exploitation capability.
- The ability and willingness to co-ordinate work on several projects at the same time
- Demonstrable communication skills, including handling difficult/challenging conversations with customers.
- Willingness to travel to Partner and Supplier sites as required.
To strengthen your application it would be desirable if you have:
- Knowledge of ITIL Processes or experience working in an ITIL environment.
- Experience of working in a highly controlled or secure IT environment.
- Experience in writing formal business documents.
- Experience of business analysis approaches most probably as part of a small, multi-faceted team.
- Experience of working in a BRM and/or BA role.

Putting Your Skills To Use
Using your expertise as part of our team you will:
- Develop a professional and responsive training service that meets the needs of our Partners and works within the overall financial model of your business area.
- Introduce an elearning solution and manage for improvement (not a LMS).
- Actively engage with Partners and colleagues to carry out training needs analysis.
- Design and create training courses and programmes for a suite of IT applications and services
- Deliver training as required.
- Working across the team utilise your skills in supporting business analysis, requirement capture and relationship management as required.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and learning outcomes, manage for improvement.
- Support super-users/ experts within each Partner
- Develop peer networks to keep abreast of current training trends, opportunities and practice.
- Maintain appropriate records of training and development activities to support resource allocation
